Sneak Peek: Creative Development Modeling a Cowgirl Character Tutorial
“January’s release will include five new Creative Development courses covering work in Maya, modo, ZBrush and more. Today, we’re getting a first Creative Development sneak peek with a preview of Modeling a Cowgirl Character in Maya and Silo with Antony Ward.
In this tutorial, you’ll explore how to build a stylized cowgirl character using subdivision surfaces. The course begins with the base mesh before posing her and adding clothing and detail. The result will be a highly-detailed model ready for textures and rendering that can be used in an illustration or even in an animation. Although Silo will primarily be used in this tutorial, the techniques taught can be followed along using any subdivision surfaces software.
Enjoy the sneak peek and check back all week long for more sneak peeks.”
